Basketball

Basketball titles involve dribbling (or bouncing) a ball on a hardwood floor. Scoring is achieved by throwing or dunking the ball into one of the hoops found on either side of the court. Games such as NBA Jam or Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball may bend the rules a bit, but they still retain the basic elements of the sport and are classified as such. Titles that feature the NBA are based on the professional game and feature authentic players, while titles featuring the NCAA are based on the college game.
