A very simplistic version of indoor soccer played against the computer or another player.

Actua Soccer Club Edition is a re-edition of Actua Soccer, released with the 20 teams of the English Premiership instead of international competitions. New commentary was recorded and some Premiership historical data was included. All remaining aspects of the game were unchanged or just tweaked. The rest of the game is well known to fans of the genre - it was the first fully polygonal football game on the market, which allowed an unprecedented graphical realism and (technically) unlimited camera angles.

Following the success of the first Actua Soccer game, a sequel was likely. The game is fast-paced with more of an action than simulation feel, and an emphasis on ground play rather than heading. A young Michael Owen provides motion capture to produce realistic player motions and actions - the different builds and styles of players are taken into account. 64 top international teams are featured, as are 24 distinct stadiums, with weather conditions having both visible and noticeable playing effects. This was one of the first games to feature 2-man commentary, with former England captain Trevor Brooking joining Barry Davies in the analytical role.

Stars 2001 (in either one of the F.A. Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga and LNF flavours) is the sequel and last title of the short run of EA's Stars series, a spin-off from the mainstay FIFA titles. Instead of digressing into several leagues, Stars focused on only one (giving each team individual kits and stadiums) and allows the player to improve his team by enhancing the players' abilities or in the transfer market. However, to do so, first the player has to win Star Points on the playing field - by scoring, not losing and having a clean sheet in both goals against and sending offs. Occasionally, there might be some Stars Challenges, which require the player to fulfill a task (scoring five goals, for instance), which will grant more star points, at the risk of possibly losing them if the requirements are not met. After the player completes a season (which includes the league, cup, European cup, international cup and legends match, against an all-time squad), the player can save the team, customize it and then play against other human-controlled custom team, the winner being able to select (well, steal) key players from the opposing team. Commentary is provided by Richard Keys, Martin Tyler, Clive Tydesley and Andy Gray. Music is provided by one of the leading record labels of the house music scene, Ministry of Sound.

Premier League Stars is football game from EA released just a few months before FIFA 2000. The two games are quite similar but Stars is a bit more pacey and more action than the more realistic FIFA. Whereas FIFA has several leagues the Stars game has focused on the English Premier League and it is full licensed with all the real clubs, kits, stadiums and players. The most unique feature in Stars is that it is using the Stars concept which means that you collect stars when winning matches, scoring goals and similar. The stars could be used to improve the players in different skills such as passing, shooting and tackling.

The latest in the EA FIFA series, FIFA 2001 comes back to its fast-paced roots. The gameplay is more balanced and includes online play as an option. It includes 17 leagues from around the world in addition to 50+ national teams. Exhibition, Tournament, League, Cup, Season, and Training modes are available to play, and the rosters are filled with as up-to-date players as possible.

The 1999 update of EA's great Soccer games. Fifa 99 is probably the best Fifa games. The players are so up to date and their skills have no limit. The programming on this game is just amazing. The graphics are so cool showing the immense pitches and the crowd looks quite realistic. The teams and their managers are so up to date as well. The tournaments, which you can enter easily. The world cup and how it works is very life like and ables you to enter as any country first entering the qualifying stages then hopefully to the finals. The individual skills of some of the players are just amazing especially Denilson and Gabriel Batistuta. So enjoy this amazing game from your own PC because it will blow you away!

Well, it's a soccer game made by Sega but with an arcade-like style of gameplay. So the handling is kept pretty straight-forward: one button for a shot towards the enemy goal (from any position on the field), one for passing to teammates and one for lobbing. But simple doesn't mean limited since a couple of things are not explained in the manual and you'll have to figure them out yourself, which can take some time. You can choose between dozens of national teams from all over the world. Player names are made up since there's no Fifa license or anything but they're editable if you feel like correcting that. Game modes include Exhibition, Tournament, League or World Cup. You can play either versus the CPU, vs. up to 2 human players or even coop (2 humans vs. the CPU or other 2 humans).

The first game in the long-running soccer series, which stood out from the crowd with a unique forced perspective 3D view rather than a simple overhead one. The players are drawn large and there is a large scanner to assist with long passing. However, the standard mode has the ball sticking closely to the feet, which makes mazy runs upfield a more useful strategy. There are 64 international teams on offer, with a European-style knock-out cup competition included. Many different formations and strategies are offered.

This is a specially released FIFA football game that coincided with the Euro 2000 European Cup. You can take charge of a team and playall the qualifying phases for the cup or play for the cup itself.

Viva Football is the first game to allow a player to take part and re-write history in all Football World Cups (including the qualifying stage) from 1958 until 1998. Deal with players retiring, new talent emerging and the geopolitical changes of the 90s as the Iron Curtain opens and several new national teams emerge. Instead of using commentators, Viva relies on PlayerChat, which means only the sounds of the stadium - players and crowd - will be audible. 1035 squads (some with individual shirts) and 16554 players with different attributes (and some with personalized textures and models) are included in the game.
