It's a classic real-time strategy game. There exist two parties, NOD and GDI. Both have different units and structures. The game features about 15 mission on each side. In most missions you have to build a base first to build new units and structures. Special harvesters collect the so-called Tiberium and convert it to money in a reffinery. The game features fmv after every mission.

The Russians are back in this sequel to Red Alert, but this time they mean business, as they go straight to their source of frustration, America. Choose your side and decide who takes control, in this all out war of survival. In this Collector's edition of Red Alert 2, you get an exclusive DVD, with never before seen art, behind the scenes footage of the cut scenes, plus re-mastered scenes and a documentary on the making of RA2. You also receive a soundtrack, featuring some of the great music found in RA2, and a pewter figurine of one of the many characters.

The 3rd part of the Command & Conquer series finally has a new graphics engine, a mixture of voxel and bitmap graphics. Of course a lot of new units were added, like hover tanks, subterrainian units or the Mammoth MKII, this time GDI and NOD fight again. The AI was also improved a little.
