Based around a classic motor car race from either side of the war, 1000 Miglia (literally 1000 miles)is an unusual racing game. You have to progress across Italy through a number of stages in your rickety 20s car. Keeping within time limits at each point is crucial to staying in the game. The game was perhaps the first to incorporate reliability issues, as your car will sometimes lose a wheel or need other repairs. A lot of effort appears to have gone into giving the game a very lavish historical feel.

4x4 Evo 2 is a sequel to the 2000 release 4x4 Evolution. This game is very similar to it's predecessor, but now it appears on newer platforms, and has more trucks, and many more tracks. The trucks in this game are licensed likenesses of trucks you may see driving down the streets of suburban America. You can purchase a truck in career mode, and then trick it out with custom parts to turn it into an off-road monster. The career mode from 4x4 Evo is again the main focus of 4x4 Evo 2. This time, crazy missions provide for an alternative to the races found in the rest of the game. For example, you may find yourself using your truck to track down lost gold, or locate misplaced outhouses.

As well as recreating off road racing, this game has considerable capability to upgrade your vehicle. There are four choices of vehicle on offer, each of which has its own weight/top-speed/build strength and so on, and thus is suited to different circuits. You can also buy upgrades and repairs, including carrying some spares. There are four completely different types of course, each taking place on a different surface - Mud, Ice, Desert and Mountains. Each of these is littered with hazards, which can either be painstakingly avoided, or driven through (with the resultant risk of damage).

Colin McRae Rally 2.0 is the sequel to the original that was released on both the Playstation and for PC. In the sequel, you can race using an initial 13 cars (like the Ford Focus, Subaru Impreza, and the Peugeot 205 turbo and 10 other cars) through 8 countries and over 80 lengths of rally road to become the champion of rally racing. Completing the game in Novice mode, and Intermediate mode unlocks. Complete Intermediate and the Expert mode is available. You can race against the clock and other cars in the rally mode or go against 5 other cars simultaneously in the arcade racing mode.
