More of a second generation game to Castles, the upgraded interface, graphics and the addition of video scenes really changes the face and playability of the game. You choose to be one of five feuding lords vying for the Crown. Conquering, spying, sabotage, diplomacy, whatever it takes--as long as you keep the Pope and your people happy. You have to reach 7,000 points to petition the Pope for the throne, and then you have to maintain those points for 4-5 computer months to win the game. Not easy with everyone else trying to take you down! Castle building is more efficient and easier to deal with. You can even set up pre-made castles on file so that you can place them quickly. Battles are set in a full alternate screen with the ability to place and command each unit.

As a leader of a tribe of Eire you must unite all the tribes under your flag and take the control of all the country. Trade and fight will allow you to acomplish your goal. When you are strong, you could fight agains the evil balor.

You ever played Cannon Fodder? This is much alike, the playing is much the same, only with much much better resolutions. It's time of World War II, and England has made and trained a small group of special elite forces called commandos. You can control up to 5 or 6 men at the same level. Every time you have lost any of your men, you must start all over again, or the end won't be affirmative, and you'll have to start all over it anyway, so it's good thing to save the games and rather often. You can click on any Nazi soldier to see the scope he sees while moving, split the screen onto 6 small ones, leaving the death-traps behind, sniper-shooting, flying planes, diving, driving trucks tanks and other vehicles, using boats, and more. The games is taken to the very tiny edge in detailed world, everything's there, and nicely inputed together.

The dirty 1/2 dozen are back, in all new dark. Ready for more covert operations, and secret missions. The new technologies are ready to be destroyed, and the nazi forces are now tougher than ever. Their guards are now trained for that commando scum. First time there were uneasy to sneak in, this time, it's impossible to sneak out. Will you come in?

Slam into other birds from above to survive in this arcade conversion of Joust. Instead of a rider atop an ostrich, you play a buzzard trying to avoid death by other flying creatures.

This is a very interesting cross between Lemmings and Mad Dog McCree. You are William Tell, searching for his missing son. This plot is just an excuse for an odd gameplay mix. You shoot out various baddies (snakes, wizards, etc.) to help your protagonists (called friends) get to the end of the screen. The game features branching paths to diverse levels-a desert, a town at night. A classic light-gun coin-op ported to the PC.

Predecessor to the highly succesful (and more complex) Fantasy Empires. A tactical and strategic turn-based game of robotic combat, land conquest, and city siege.

The Black Knight has brought misery to the land, and the end way to end this is to enter his haunted house to slay him. You are the brave adventurer taking on this quest through 14 increasingly-tough zones. The bulk of the game is side-viewed, involving single screens to pass through, which incorporate ropes, cages and trapdoor. There are enemies walking, flying and hovering through this, and many of them respawn. Unusually your weapon to take them on (rocks) can be thrown through 360 degrees, which aims to make the gameplay more realistic and methodical. The screens were linked by hub screens, which the player passes through simply by clicking on a door.

SSI's Dark Legions is a strategy/action game similar to Archon and its remake Archon Ultra. An action/strategy game, in Dark Legions you will pitch your forces against that of a computer or human foe in a game board. When two pieces collide, they will be transfered to another board on which they will fight for survival. In the beginning of the game you will buy your forces with a predefined number of credits, and be able to purchase any of the 16 characters along with various kinds of traps and even rings to upgrade your creatures. In Dark Legions, the balance of power in the dark realm of Tahr Carog is broken. One of the two twin power orbs is lost, and the realm is in chaos. As the holder of one of the orbs, you must combat your opponent - the holder of the second power orb - until one of you loses his orb, and the other prevails. The holder of the two orbs will be granted immense power and immortality, so make sure you select and utilize your forces wisely.

Darksun: Shattered Lands is an AD&D game based off of the Darksun campaign pack from TSR. In the beginning of the game, you control a party of gladiators. It opens up with you in a fight with a multitude of monsters in an arena. After the battle you are sent back to the slave pens to wait for your next match. You talk to some of the other gladiators in the slave pens and escape (if you can) to help the free villages established by other escaped slaves to fight back against the totalitarian city-state of Draj and the large army they will soon send to wipe out all of the slave villages. The game has a mouse interface and is basically point and click to move around, equip your party, talk to people, pick up things, etc. The gameplay is faithful to AD&D's rules in most cases.

Darklands is an epic Role Playing Game set in medieval Germany. You can begin by either selecting a pre-made party (quickstart) or by cheating your own characters. Creating your characters is quite interesting, as you begin when they're 10 and choose a career path for them. The more time you choose at a certain career path, in 5 year periods, the better your character will become, and this is all before the adventure begins. Once you've chosen a party and begun the game. Whilst in a city or other inhabited area, you're given choices on how to proceed, sort of like a which-way book. This is the way you'll communicate and move about within towns and castles. Once you've left a city, you're taken to the travel screen, which is a real time map of Germany with a lone figure representing your party. Here you travel around the countryside, getting into adventures and meeting friends and enemies... Combat (speaking of enemies) is real time, but you can pause the action to give orders, so it's sort of Pseudo-Turn Based. The game has an epic scope, and can go on for as long as you'd like it to. The main goal is to collect as much fame for you and your party as possible, because the more fame you have the better quests you'll receive, and the better the rewards.

Based on the movie, a group of terrorists has taken control of a high rise tower in an attempt to take $600 million. Your job is to rescue your wife who is trapped in the building and stop the terrorists. The game is played with a 3-D point of view allowing you to search the building for useful items and fight terrorists with a variety of weapons or by hand. Cut scenes keep you informed of the plot as it progresses.

Die Hard 2: Die Harder is a 2D shooting gallery. In the early 90’s, two things just wouldn’t die: Bruce Willis in the Die Hard trilogy of movies, and, well, 2D point-and-click shooters. Renowned software undertaker Grandslam was happily ready to dig the grave several inches deeper for both. The spade: a game called Die Hard 2: Die Harder. Based on the 1990 movie Die Hard 2, the program sends you through five stages modelled after key scenes of the film. As N.Y. cop John McClane, you have to shoot terrorists invading Washington’s Dulles airport by quickly aiming a crosshair at them. You’ll successively clear the luggage center, airport annexe and runway, then chase after the bad guys on a snowmobile and finally shoot it out on the wing of the terrorist’s plane. Each stage consists of three screens; on the last one, several tougher bosses will appear. Occasionally, civilians cross the room and pray that you don’t kill them. Most dying terrorists drop power-ups, namely med-kits, armour, grenades and weapons that are more powerful or fire faster. You collect these items by shooting them in time. If you do not aim fast enough, the terrorist’s bullets will drain your health; you may die three times, but after that, John McClane bites the dust once and for all. Until you restart, that is. The 1997 Edition of the popular Links golf simulation. New features include higher resolution graphics (up to 1600x1200 in 16.7 million colors) with a new terrain rendering engine, and improved ball flight physics. Three new courses are featured, Latrobe Country Club, Kapalua Village Course, and the Kapalua Plantation course. Also included is a video tour of Latrobe Country Club, and a virtual reality tour of Arnold Palmer's office and workshop.

This is 1994's incarnation of the long running PGA Tour series, this time the additions come mostly on the technical arena: new, better, graphics and sounds including videos and commentaries of all the courses, as well as 9 digitized PGA pros to play as or 55 opponents with whom to play against in the tournament. The courses in the game include the Summerlin TPC, River highlands and Avenel with all their corresponding holes. Gameplay is practically unchanged from the previous series, with some small additions like sudden-death playoffs to decide ties for the lead, etc. in addition to being a much more difficult game.

In this rally-game with 28 different tracks you can drive in six real rally-cars, like the Proton Wira or a Skoda. The weather is changing all the time, from rain to sun to snow. The graphics are good and the cars have great detail. The tracks are real tracks from the RAC rally and have a changeable road. Sometimes you ride on tarmac and other times on mud. Enjoy!

The sequel to Screamer, an arcade-style racing game. This sequel features an improved graphic engine (SVGA) and new cars and tracks. The graphic engine was quite amazing when it was new, especially the nice track details like the cows and horses or the helicopters were nice to look at. The soundtrack consists of Techno CDA tracks.
